Hi, there is a couple of pieces at grade 2 I’m doing that say ‘students may prefer to play at a slower tempo such as 126 for this one. Do you know if you automatically lose marks if you opt for a suggested lower tempo? Thanks

Hello, I have a question about the pedal too...use of the pedal is not indicated on the music and there is nothing in the notes about using it either, but you advise paying with the pedal and it sounds way better. I'm worried that I might loose marks in the exam if I use the pedal when it is not asked for, or is that sort of thing allowed? Its a really helpful tutorial thank you.

This is one of the first pieces I learned way back in 2011 when I did my abrsm grade 1 exam. It appears as though the music is more simplified this time around. at minute 3:00 bars 13 and onwards, the first note is slightly detached and the rest of the notes are slurred. They also alternate between piano and forte giving it a unique sound.
